As neurodivergents ourselves, Hex and I built TerraNova with our community in mind from day one. It's personal for us. How the server works and how it feels comes from our own experience, not something we read about.

• We write everything clearly and literally: There's no "you should just know" culture here, no gaps filled with "use common sense"
• We built an interactive in-game map with plain descriptions of every location and job, so you can figure things out at your own pace
• Our player guide answers questions before you have to ask them
• Nova, our in-game guide, meets every new player at the airport. Whenever you're stuck after that, you can summon her from your radial menu or with /nova. No other player needed
• We produce IC commercials for businesses and activities so you can learn how things work just by being in the world
• Our mechanics are predictable. If a job pays a certain amount, it always pays that
• If you mess up, we talk to you privately. Nobody gets called out in front of everyone
• Disappearing for two weeks is fine. Come back whenever life allows and you'll still be welcome
• We don't put up with hazing dressed up as roleplay. New players shouldn't have to earn being treated decently

We want every woman who joins TerraNova to feel pretty quickly that this place actually respects her, and that it's more than a line we added to the rules.

We've been intentional about this from the start. The culture here doesn't default to bro energy. Female players aren't novelties, aren't targets, and aren't expected to prove themselves in ways male players never have to.

• Women can run gangs, lead factions, own businesses, or just hang out. All of it counts the same here
• You can get status and influence without fighting, and we mean that
• Harassment gets handled by us, fast, without debate. Every time. No "both sides."
• Nothing about how we write, build or talk is meant to shut you out

What Friends + Family Actually Means

When Hex and I say Friends + Family, we mean it literally. We're not chasing player count. We want a place that feels real because the people in it are real, and if you're here, you belong here.

• We don't track your activity or make you feel guilty for being offline. Show up when you can, no questions asked
• You never have to play. The server's always here when you want it
• Hex and I are present and visible: You'll see us in the city, in the Discord, in the world we're building together
• We have a ticket system to keep things organized, but our DMs are open too. Reach out however you're comfortable.
• We remember: Your character, your storylines, your contributions to this world matter to us and we acknowledge them
• Everyone here was brought in by someone who knows them. That's our whole growth model.
• We'll tell you what's actually going on, even when something's broken

A note on content:
Friends + Family doesn't mean hidden. If you stream, post clips, or make anything about TerraNova, go for it. We love that. We just won't be the ones running a promotional campaign. Our growth comes from people who've been here telling others what it felt like. That's the only kind of growth we trust.
