TerraNova

TerraNova is what you make of it. This city has room for every kind of player — those who want to build legitimate lives, those who prefer to operate in the shadows, and everyone in between. We're not a hardcore server. We're not a server where veterans talk down to new players. We're a community that actually wants you here.

Every player starts the same — $35,000 split between cash and bank, standing in Legion Square with the whole city ahead of you. What you do next is your choice.

New to FiveM?
FiveM is a free multiplayer mod for GTA V that lets you join custom servers — like TerraNova — with their own jobs, scripts, and world. Think of it like GTA Online, except the world is built and run by real people, and the experience is completely different from server to server.

TerraNova is fun-first. There's no pressure to play a certain way. Come in and cruise, grind money, run jobs with friends, cause some chaos, or just hang out. Some people like to build out a character and story — that's totally welcome — but it's never required. Play how you want.
Already know FiveM? Skip ahead to First Steps — you're good.
Joining TerraNova
1
You need GTA V
Any platform works — Steam, Epic Games, or Rockstar Games Launcher. FiveM works with all of them.
2
Download FiveM
Go to fivem.net and download the client. It installs alongside GTA V — it won't touch your story mode or GTA Online. Launch FiveM and let it find your GTA V installation automatically.
3
Join our Discord
Everything lives in Discord — the server IP, announcements, community, and staff. If you're not in the Discord yet, find the invite link on our homepage and join before trying to connect.
4
Connect to the Server
In FiveM, press F8 to open the console and type connect [server IP] — or find us via the server list. The IP is pinned in our Discord. First connection takes a few minutes to download our custom content.
5
Create Your Character
You'll be taken through a character creation screen when you first join. Choose your appearance and name. Take your time — once you're in, you'll automatically receive a phone, a city map, and a starting balance split between cash and a bank account that's already set up for you.
Stuck or confused? Drop a message in our Discord — the community and staff are genuinely friendly. There are no dumb questions here.

Get Set Up

Now that you know how to move, let's get you equipped. These are the first places you should go.

1
City Hall — Your First Stop
Head to City Hall to get a job and a gun license. The job opens up legal income. The license lets you buy weapons from Ammunation. Both are essential.
2
Ammunation — Get Armed
With a license, you can buy weapons here. Even if you plan to go legit, having a sidearm for self-defense is wise. Check the map for locations.
3
Hardware Store — Tools of the Trade
Lockpicks, essential tools, and other items you'll need. Whether you're going legal or not — you'll need stuff from here eventually.
4
Get a Place to Live
Your time flying in, you receive an apt. But you can buy an apartment or house in TerraNova. Open your phone, go to the Terranova Realty app to browse available properties. Owning a home gives you a private stash spot, a place to respawn, and somewhere to log out safely. It's worth doing early.
5
Use the Bank
Your bank account is already set up when you spawn in. Your starting balance is split between cash (on your person) and bank (safe). Use any ATM to deposit cash — ATMs show on your map and are all over the city. Don't walk around with a lot of cash on you.
Need food? Use the TerraNova Eats app on your phone — order delivery anywhere, anytime. No need to travel to a restaurant.

Safe Zones — St Fiacre Hospital & Apartments

Initiation cannot be started at either of these locations. You cannot pull someone into a conflict here if one didn't already exist.

Carry-over applies. If a situation was already in progress before you arrived — say you got shot and were taken to the hospital mid-scene — that conflict doesn't get a hard stop just because you crossed into a safe zone. The scene can continue. Safe zones protect you from being targeted out of nowhere, not from consequences you were already in the middle of.

Making Money — Street

The city has no shortage of ways to earn outside the law. Here's enough to get started — but figuring out the details is part of the experience.

Start small. Don't walk into the deep end on day one. Every step unlocks the next one.
Get a Lockpick
Your first tool. Without it, most criminal activity is off the table. Check the Hardware Store.
Smash & Grabs
Hit parked cars for quick cash and items. Simple, low-risk, good for building your stash.
Car Boosting
Requires a tablet and USB. Steal vehicles to order for higher payouts. Opens up via the boosting system.
ATM Robberies
Three methods to crack an ATM. Experiment to find what works.
Store Robberies
Shoe stores, mailboxes, package theft. More risk, more reward.
House Robberies
Bigger targets, bigger payouts. Know your exits.
TerraNova HQ
The big leagues. TerraNova HQ is our custom crime and heist ecosystem — banks, major scores, and organized operations. This is where the serious money is. You'll know when you're ready.
The Drug Trade
TerraNova has a full drug operation with 17 different products — grow, cook, process and distribute. There's also a way to wash your money. This rabbit hole goes deep. Start small, learn the chain, don't get caught.

07

Server Rules

TerraNova is built on good vibes and mutual respect. These rules aren't here to be restrictive — they're here to make sure everyone has a good time.

General Conduct
01
Respect everyone
This is a family community. Harassment, hate speech, discrimination, or general toxicity will not be tolerated. Zero tolerance policy — let a staff member know immediately if you've been treated poorly.
02
No drama
Keep personal beef out of the server. Handle it maturely.
03
English Only
We happily welcome people from all over the world, but English is the main server language. So staff can moderate effectively. Private conversations are your business.
Glossary — terms you'll hear:

RDM (Random Deathmatch) — killing someone for no reason. Not allowed.
VDM (Vehicle Deathmatch) — deliberately running people over with a vehicle for no reason. Not allowed.
Metagaming — using info from outside the game (Discord messages, stream sniping, etc.) to get an advantage in-game. Not allowed.
VoIP — your in-game voice. We use proximity chat — people near you hear you, people far away don't.
Gameplay
04
No cheating, exploiting, or modding
Any unauthorized modifications or exploits will result in a permanent ban.
05
No RDM or VDM
Don't kill or run over players randomly. Every conflict should have a reason behind it.
06
Value your life
If someone has a gun pointed at your head, act like it matters. Don't throw your life away like it's nothing.
07
No metagaming
Don't use outside information (Discord DMs, stream sniping, etc.) to get an in-game advantage over other players.
Communication
08
Mic is required
TerraNova is a voice-first community. A working microphone is required to play.
Staff & Appeals
10
Respect staff decisions
Staff have final say. If you disagree, use the appeal process — don't argue in public channels.
11
Don't abuse the report system
False or malicious reports may result in action against the reporter.
12
Think you were banned unfairly?
Submit a ban appeal at https://terranovahq.online/appeal and we'll review it.
